<strong>Alonso is not off to the races after concussion</strong></p>

Following a crash Feb. 22, motorsport racer Fernando Alonso will not attend the season-opening Australian Grand Prix March 15, said BBC. Alonso was reportedly not injured and only sustained a concussion, but doctors are advising him not to compete at the risk of suffering a second one.

LeBron annoyed over aggresive college recruitment for his son

LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers has stated that colleges are already trying to recruit his son, LeBron Jr., according to CNN. Several colleges have been pursuing the 10-year-old son of the basketball superstar, though it is unclear which schools have contacted him. James has expressed his distaste for this by telling a Detroit radio station that “it should be a violation. You shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.” James intends to let his son enjoy his childhood.

NBA mourns loss of Earl Lloyd, first black player in NBA history

Earl Lloyd, the first black player in NBA history, was reported dead Feb. 26 at 86 years of age, as reported by CTV News

Many people mourned the death, including West Virginia State University president Brian Hemphill, who said, “When Earl stepped out on the court on that fateful day in 1950, this remarkable man rightfully earned his place in the historic civil rights movement and, more importantly, he opened the door to equality in America.” 

It has been 65 years since his debut on the court and 60 years since Lloyd helped the Syracuse Nationals win the NBA title.
