15th Annual Stratford Kiwanis Garlic Festival 

Stratford Rotary Complex, 353 McCarthy Rd, Stratford 

Sat Sept. 9, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Sun Sept. 10, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Stratford Kiwanis Garlic Festival will feature Tasting and Pairing events led by leading food and beverages vendors. Try combinations such as chocolate and beer, cheese and wine, as well as cheeses, meads, and honey. 

 

Waterloo Rib & Beer Festival 

Regina Lot, 20 Regina St S, Waterloo 

Sat Sept. 9, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Sun Sept. 10, 12 to 7 p.m. 

Prepare for a day of food and live music. 

Food options include ribs (both beef and pork), beef brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, cornbread, funnel cakes, blooming onions, ice cream, poutine, and deep-fried treats. Vegetarian options will be available. 

Saturday will feature rock music while Sunday will feature musical mash-ups. 

Tickets are $2 and can be purchased at the door. 

General admission day passes and weekend passes are $10 and $15, respectively and can be purchased online here or on-site. On-site tickets will decrease in price to two for $10 after 2:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. 

 

Beginner Salsa Class 

The Underdog Dance Corp., 71 King St N Unit C, Waterloo 

Sun Sept. 10, 4 to 5 p.m. 

This introductory salsa class will teach you the basics of salsa dancing from hand-holding to cross-body turns. It will occur every Sunday for five weeks, and you can show up with or without a partner. 

Credits and refunds will not be issued for missed classes. 

Registering for the class is $71.20 plus tax for five classes.
