The University Club will be officially re-opening on September 27th, according to a statement from Food Services. The casual fine-dining club was closed in 2020 due to the pandemic for infrastructure renovations.
Second-year student Keneil Blake said that he hadn’t heard about the re-opening before. “I’m in my second year, so in first year, I lived in SJU where the food was pretty hit-or-miss. Anything would basically be better than that.”
Christina Carvalho, another second-year student, was also looking forward to the UC returning. “I also feel like having multiple food options besides Subway is actually really good because it gives students a variety, especially if they have a dietary restriction as well.”
Guest dining from September 27th to October 6th requires booking a reservation by email to theuc@uwaterloo.ca.
