Seasonal smoothies for balanced healthy living

    Use this template to make your own smoothie from ingredients that are seasonal or that you have on hand. The flavour is even better when you use two different fruits. If you are not using frozen fruit, add ice cubes for the liquid. If you are new to making green smoothies, you may start out with baby spinach leaves, which have a mild flavour that blend nicely with any fruit. The optional add-ins are sources of healthy fats and add a little protein. To increase the fibre, you can also add a couple tablespoons of bran cereal or oats to your smoothie before you blend it.
