The men’s golf team capped off an incredible six-tournament winning streak by defending their OUA championship. The title defence did not only mean back-to-back championships — it was also the 10th championship in the team’s history. The women’s golf team also finished off the season on a positive note, taking the team silver.

Individually the men’s team was led by Gajan Sivabalasingham who shot a one-under-par to claim his second consecutive individual OUA title. Also on the podium for the Warriors was David French, whose score of three-over-par was enough to earn him the silver medal alongside Jordan Gregoris of Queen’s. Dylan Cave shot a six-over-par to finish seventh overall, closely followed by Jake Adams who shot a seven-over-par. The last member of the team, Devin Bartlett, ended the tournament 12 strokes over.

The team combined to win the tournament by a comfortable 19 strokes over the Varsity Blues. Rounding out the top three were the Queen’s Gaels, who finished 21 strokes behind the Warriors.

“My teammates and coaches have just been awesome this year and throughout my entire career,” said Sivabalasingham on the Warriors’ website. “When I was struggling, they were always there for me. Our team has come such a long way. Any one of us could have won this tournament this week.”

To cap off the great season, Dave Hollinger, the men’s head coach, was named OUA Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year and sixth time in his career.

As for the women’s side, the Varsity Blues took the women’s gold by 26 strokes over the Warriors, with the Gaels a further 13 strokes behind.

The women’s silver medal effort was led by Laura Luna-Cabreara who shot 19-over-par during the two-day tournament, placing her in the sixth spot overall. Both Claire Konning and Elanna Lachaine-DeMarchi had a score of 23-over-par, tying for seven spot. Alexandria Garcia came in 24th with a score of 40-over-par.
