Your recent article "Galt architecture campus proposes $24 million expansion" (May 30) leaves readers the impression that the proposed expansion of the Cambridge architecture campus is a fait accompli.
In fact, the governing bodies of the Faculty of Engineering and of the university have not debated the proposals and we have not yet committed to the project.
In the event that Senate and the Board of Governors approve the proposed new programs by the School of Architecture, we will proceed with the discussions with the city partners to explore how we can maximize the benefits of any expanded collaboration.
We are delighted with the great partnership between the School of Architecture and the City of Cambridge and that the relationship continues to be as strong as ever.
