A former University of Waterloo student, Christian Yu-Rong Wen, was reported missing Oct. 7. Det. Gord Stinson from the Waterloo Regional Police, said that Wen was found Friday, Nov. 27.</p>
According to the police, Wen’s family hadn’t heard from him since July 1 of this year. His family said that he failed to register for this semester and that they were concerned for his well-being. After around two months of investigation, the police located Wen. He is currently residing safely in Waterloo, and his family members have been contacted.
During an interview with Nick Manning, the director of media relations and issues management at UW, he said that after the student was reported missing, the university co-operated with the regional police in the investigation process. However, due to confidentiality measures, further details of the investigation cannot be disclosed to the public.
