Holiday movies on Netflix

We all need some way to get in the holiday spirit and Netflix has some of the classics of the season. My personal favourite is: Christmas with the Kranks. You can also find How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Jingle All the Way, and The Nightmare Before Christmas on Netflix.

Is the holiday season complete without watching Elf? No, it really isn’t, and don’t fret — Netflix has that too.

If you’re heading to the U.S. and have access to American Netflix, make sure you check out Happy Christmas, starring Anna Kendrick and Lenna Dunham. It’s a great comedy that few know about.

What’s hitting the big screens for the holiday season?

If you haven’t seen them yet, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Moana are in theatres now!

The latest Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling romance La La Land hits theatres on Dec 2.

Journey into a galaxy far, far away once again to see the untold story about a band of rebels that investigate the Death Star in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story coming out Dec. 16, along with Collateral Beauty, the newest Will Smith tearjerker sure to be a hit.

Jennifer Lawrence takes on the big screen alongside Chris Pratt on Dec. 21 in the latest sci-fi thriller, Passengers. Also on Dec. 21, Assassin’s Creed and Sing come out.

On Christmas Day, you can check out Hidden Figures, which is about three black women who are vital to the launch of the 1969 Apollo 11 flight to the moon.
